Hi, I would like to have someone shed some light on the debt review process as I have had no joy in trying to contact consumer assist in past weeks.
We applied for credit review in March 2010 and have been paying the amount agreed upon by consumer assist.every month since inception. However due to what I believe is negligence on behalf of consumer assist, our bond with standard bank has been terminated due to the 60 day clause in the ncr rulings.
For the first time we received an application for a court date in January 2011.The bank has told us that they ,Standard Bank House Loans, made a counter offer to consumer assist in or about June of 2110, with no response from C. A.
Does this not constitute negligence on Consumer Assist side? and after reading the contract am I correct in saying that if a court date is not set within the first 60 days C.A . must return our money back to us in accordance with the contract. We have made contacted with a person , Ansie, on numerous occations only to be told that they would get back to us. We are still waiting. We are aware of the moratorium accepted by the banks.
Tick tock time is marching on and I still do not have any clear indication as to what happens to our debt review process. We are in the process of losing our house and would like to know if anyone out there could shed light or give advice. We have run out of options and this is the reason I am writing.
